Absence Management (formerly AESOP)
This is a service which places substitute teachers, as well as non-instructional personnel, such as teacher aides, in each of the subscribing districts. Centralized and district listings are maintained. Reports are forwarded to the districts on a monthly basis. In general, individuals in need of a substitute call or log into Absence Management (formerly AESOP) directly. The Absence Management system will then place appropriate substitute personnel from a list provided directly by the subscribing district. Each subscribing district maintains control over substitute personnel employed in their district.
The service places substitutes efficiently and punctually for the subscribing districts. In addition, the service provides the district with statistical information regarding absenteeism. Personnel work closely with each of the individual schools in each subscribing district to ensure that the unique needs of the district are met on a continual basis.
