Student Council Advisors

Niagara Academy’s Student Council felt strongly last year that they wanted to celebrate our differences and similarities more this year.  “We had a valuable discussion centered around diversity, equity and inclusion,” says Assistant Principal Michelle Kulbago.    “We decided this school year to create a new bulletin board in our main hallway to build awareness and spread a message of hope.  Student Council asked our counselors to help bring their idea to life and, of course, the counselors were eager to join in!”

The month of December Mrs. Herko created an interactive bulletin board with the theme of “You are enough just as you are”.  Students contributed uplifting messages, as well as their own insights and experiences to the board.  Their thoughts and feelings have resonated with everyone in the school who reads them.  “I am very proud of how accepting our students are of people’s identity, individuality and creativity,” says Mrs. Kulbago.   “Our diversity truly does make us stronger together!”
